The Greater High Desert Chamber of Commerce is a nonprofit organization that works to empower local businesses, helping them thrive and grow throughout the High Desert region of Southern California. Founded in 2021, the GHDCC serves the cities of Adelanto, Apple Valley, Hesperia, and Victorville, along with surrounding communities in the Victor Valley.
Everything we do is done with the goal of elevating our members and the High Desert region. As such, our members are encouraged to connect with one another and tap into our network of business resources, professional contacts, and promotional opportunities. Our high-level networking, fundraisers, and special events are renowned through the High Desert and give our members a chance to benefit one another’s experiences.

Directions: Highway 18 to Milpas, right turn (south) 1 3/4 miles to Desert View, turn left (east) 1/4/ mile to the location on the right side. Go through the entry gates and you will be directed to parking. Note: Milpas is east of Apple Valley, about halfway between Dead Man's Point and Lucerne Valley

There is no charge for current MHS members; however, a donation to the host would be appreciated. For non-members, there is a $2 charge for one-day insurance.

Description
The general membership meetings, usually held the fourth Thursday of the month at Redeemer Church at 7:00, will be replaced by local outdoor field trips. For those interested, the first one will be Sept. 24 at 6:00 at Waldo Stakes' newly opened "Dare Devils N Speed" outdoor museum in rural Apple Valley. The location is "El Ranchito Rakete" 26215 Desert View. RSVP at (760) 985-1918 so we have an idea of how many people to accommodate. This is the location where Mad Mike constructed his rockets.The tour involves Air Speed, Water Speed, and Land Speed displays and vehicles, as well as a tribute to Poncho Barnes. Waldo Stakes is a former curator of the Vernon P. Saxon Aerospace Museum in Boron, beside the Twenty Mule Team Museum, the location known as "Where the Wild West Meets the Cosmos."
The second outdoor fieldtrip will be the evening of Thurs. Oct. 22 to Chimney Rock and the Lucerne Open Air Museum. Keep your eye out for further info on this trip.
